Our client is a global mid and downstream energycompany, specialising in the delivery of Bitumen and LPG across Nigeria; withimport terminals and depots situated in Calabar and Lagos Nigeria.

Key Relationships:
Internal – GlobalOperations Manager, Regional operations manager, Internal Auditors
External –Government Entities, External Auditors, third party vendors.

Job Summary:  
Superviseand control operations activities in our LPG and Butimen terminals/plants/ toassure safety of operations and that these activities are followed by mainoperational parameters, in accordance with objectives defined by RegionalOperations Manager and overall corporate business plan.

KeyResponsibilities:
§ Supervise theoperations of  terminals to assure a safeoperation and to keep control of main parameters of operations including:
            I.       Capex
          II.       OPex
         III.       Costper m3/mt
         IV.       Gainand Losses
           V.       OilSpills
         VI.       Losstime accidents
       VII.       EBITDAcontribution

§  Conduct researchand study the terminals operations and all activities at all times to analyzethe ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency of operations. Liaise withsuppliers to ensure quality of the products.

§  Ensure compliancewith operational procedures of the Terminals and a safe operation taking intoconsideration the compliance with:
            I.       CompanyOperations Manual
          II.       SAPS  (Administration of the Safety policy)
         III.       Processesand procedures
         IV.       Locallaw and regulation
         
§  Oversee assetscontrol according to regional guidelines. Visit terminals in order to havedirect contact with the personnel and to detect any possible unreporteddeviation of the standards and policy of the company.

§  Analyze operationalreports of the terminals including the summary report, the KPI’s, the volumes,the demurrage charges and the gain and losses to focus the efforts andresources to the goals of the company.

§  Complies withgovernment and industry guidelines mainly in issues dealing with transportationof products, environmental matters, construction permits and any other relatedmatter. Responsible for approving and signing documentation required under theposition of Company Legal Representative including visits and relation withGovernment institutions
§  Assist indevelopment of terminal manuals to record operations initiatives, developments,and other requirements. Ensure compliance with policy on vehicles includingvehicle repairs, purchases and sales. Approve purchases of new equipment and/orservices.

§  Participates in allpeople related processes within his/her department. Develop, implement, andcontrol reporting system at each terminal/plant to create more effective andefficient workforce.

§  Supervision ofconstruction projects related to tank farms, new terminals for storage, etc.

§  Development of newbusiness segments, such as Aviation

Requirements:
§  Engineeringbackground preferred
§  Minimum 10+ years’experience in oil terminal operations managing ship/shore interface, truckloading and oil measurement
§  Up to 6-7 years ina leadership role managing or supervising personal
§  Safety standardsprocedure knowledge
§  Bitumen experienceis an advantage
